In 1992, a small business starts in the “sweet borough” of Iasi. Its activity fields are church painting, mosaic manufacture and its use in artistic purposes, stained glass manufacture and also interior decorations.

The founder of this company, named GEORGIE'S, is Mister Virgil Moraru. The appreciation and esteem of clients from all over the world will come as an acknowledgement of his years of passion and work.

1992-1994 - the working is intensely carry out in the field of church painting, having as an inevitable result the appreciation of the high level of refinement.

1993-1994 – the innovation of Georgie’s homologated mosaic. Much more complex from the chromatic point of view and much more lasting than all the other materials on the market, the Georgie’s mosaic obtaines 4 gold medals at invention show-rooms in Bruxelles, Moscow and Iasi. The fruit of the long study years becomes the most efficient material for artistic mosaic. This invention, as well as the high quality of the achievements will direct to Georgie’s very important works. Thus, after the realization in mosaic of “Piuos Parascheva” on the Metropolitan’s Palace fronton and also of the interiors of the Palace, Georgie’s artists are challenged to work important surfaces in mosaic and stained glass in Greece, a well-known country for its tradition and its artisans. It’s worth mentioning the fact that over 150 sacred images are well preserved in private collections.

Drawn by the beauty of Georgie’s products, more and more natural persons are becoming loyal customers. Beside stained glass, Georgie’s also brings forth ceramic vessels, pictures, lighting objects, ash-trays, mirror frames in mosaic, all unique of their kind.
